HMS Software announces the release of TimeControl 8.6.1
Montreal, Dec 16, 2025 – HMS Software, a leader in enterprise timesheet and project time management systems, is excited to announce the release of TimeControl version 8.6.1, the latest update to its flagship TimeControl suite. Building on the robust architecture of TimeControl 8.6, this update introduces powerful new integrations, expanded language support, enhanced timesheet functionality, and significant enhancements across both on-premise and cloud-based deployments.

Key Highlights of TimeControl 8.6.1 Include
Birdview PSA Integration
A new bidirectional integration with Birdview PSA, developed through a strategic alliance between HMS Software and Birdview. This link enables seamless data flow between TimeControl and Birdview’s project planning system, enhancing project planning and execution workflows.
Microsoft Planner Integration
With the planned end of life for Microsoft Project Online, TimeControl now offers integration with Microsoft Planner, providing customers a modern pathway for managing tasks and project planning within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Expanded Language Support
Full support for additional languages including Japanese, Chinese, Turkish, and Arabic — including full two-byte character support — broadens international usability and accessibility for global organizations.
Enhanced Start/Stop Functionality
The Start/Stop feature has been improved and is now available in both individual and crew timesheets, and included in the free TimeControl Mobile App to support work tracking in the field.
Additional Enhancements
Improvements to the Oracle Primavera integration, a new Sign-off module, a customizable Shift module for default schedules, alternate user support in the mobile app, Material Debit/Credit functionality in TimeControl Industrial, and more.
Availability
The on-premise edition of TimeControl 8.6.1 is available now to all customers with a current support agreement and can be downloaded through the TimeControl support portal at no additional charge.. Cloud-based subscribers for TimeControl Online, TimeControl Industrial Online, and TimeControl Project will receive automatic upgrades beginning in mid-January 2026, with scheduling details communicated directly within the application.
